Since 2004, the Gouri Village Project has been dedicated to driving sustainable, life-changing progress for communities in Gouri/Péni, Chad. From humble beginnings under thatched roofs and open trees, our community initiatives have transformed into lasting infrastructure and essential programs.
📚 Education & Opportunity
Building schools, distributing learning supplies, and opening and operating the Dorita Salomón Library at the Lycée de Péni.
💧 Health & Clean Water
Operating a life-saving health clinic with the help of Texas A&M BUILD and Medical Bridges, expanding access to medical services, and drilling wells for clean water.
🚜 Economic Empowerment
Running a vocational sewing workshop to combat youth unemployment, providing food distribution support, and providing draft animals for field plowing and transportation.
